Church Construction Update: Concrete Slab Finished and More Trusses Set

The Stock Valley Baptist team felt the Lord asking them to stay a bit longer in La Plaine, so they extended their stay until Thursday of this week. This extra time was such a blessing for La Plaine Baptist Church, as we finished all of the form and rebar work for the rear concrete slab and made significant progress on setting trusses into place. After the team left on Thursday, the LPBC team made final preparations for Friday's concrete slab pour. After six hours of hard work pulling and pouring concrete on Friday, the La Plaine Baptist Church now has one roof complete. This concrete slab roof will provide shelter to those in need during future storms and will also serve as the floor to a second story parish (soon-to-be built) for future mission team visits. The community has noticed all of the hard and quick work these last two weeks, as we've often seen people congregating and talking about the progress and construction. We are looking forward to the arrival of the Woodmont Baptist Church team tonight!
